The lakes are situated in a beautiful five-acre woodland site which has been fully landscaped and fenced. There is plenty of parking on site and access is only available via a locked gate giving maximum security to members.
The lakes were constructed in 1984 as a duck shoot. In 1998 the lakes were completely drained and when refilled with water the deepest part was 14 feet with depths varying from 4 feet upwards around the edge of the lakes.
Our Lakes contain Carp up to 25lbs, Tench and Roach, Perch, and Bream there are also many other species including Stillwater Barbel and Stillwater Chub.
Clean toilet facilities, a tea hut with use of fridge and microwave.

Making the most of it
All of our membership packages last for 12 months and run from June to June each year. Please note multi-household licences are available at discounted rates and they can be found in our membership package.
- Adult day fishing: £100
- 24 hour over 18s: £145
- Junior (Under 14’s) Free of Charge and must be accompanied by a paying adult member
- Over 14’s – 18’s £55
- OAP Memberships Discount of £20.00 from any membership
Please note: Under 14’s must be accompanied by a member, and no under 18s fishing at night unless accompanied by an adult paying member.
Our memberships run from June 1st – 31st May each year, memberships will be full price until we are 6
months through the season, we will then begin to run deals and offers.
Once you are a member at Major’s lakes you are than entitled to fish Wallend at NO COST.
