Rough Shoot Rules and Disclaimer
- 1Membership is an annual charge of £350.00. This charge is per member and is non-refundable should you cease to be a member or are disqualified from being a member for whatever reason. Members are allowed to shoot the following quarry, Pigeon, Rabbits, Crows, Magpies and foxes (at certain times) and can ferret/terrier rabbits.
- 2Members are only allowed to bring a guest shooting once it has been agreed with the office, all guest tickets must be paid via a debit / credit card payment or cash before the date you wish to shoot. The cost of a day ticket is £40.00 and the guest must be accompanied by a full member.
- 3All members must hold valid insurance, game licenses, shotgun and firearms licenses where appropriate. Please make sure that you carry a copy with you when out shooting on our land. This rule more applies to guests.
- 4No member is to use a firearm until after a year of membership and obtaining permission from SWA Country sports (subject to availability).
- 5All bookings for a day’s shoot must be made at least 48 hours in advance (no longer than a week). All bookings can be made via the office Mon-Fri between 9am – 5pm.
- 6You are only permitted on the area you have booked; this is for health & safety reasons. You must not move to another area unless it has been agreed by the office; if you do move to another field without permission your membership will be revoked. If you are unsure of the area, please ask.
- 7You will be issued with a membership card which will have your photograph and signature. It will also carry the expiry date of the membership. This card must be carried whenever on a shoot on our land otherwise you shall be asked to leave.
- 8All gun safety measures must always be observed. Anyone who is proved to be “unsafe” will have their membership revoked.
- 9You must not carry your gun outside of our boundaries.
- 10Dogs must be always kept under strict control, never keep a dog attached to you whilst shooting.
- 11All quarries must be collected and taken away.
- 12SWA Country sports cannot be held responsible for any bag numbers.
- 13No Game to be shot out of season anywhere on our land, failure to abide by this rule will result in your membership being revoked immediately. (Please refer to your shooting season guide if you are unsure).
- 14Hares are limited to one Hare per member per visit between 1st June – 31st Jan. After 31st January hares are not to be shot due to the breeding season. Anyone seen shooting hares out of this season will have their membership revoked immediately.
- 15Always bear in mind the possibility of a ricochet particularly across water or off branches and vegetation.
- 16Never fire blindly into dense vegetation.
- 17Do not fire unless you are sure it is within range and be sure you know what is behind it. If you are not sure, don’t shoot!
- 18Know your own limitations and those of your gun and shoot responsibly. If you are not reasonably sure of a humane kill, don’t shoot! Shooting at quarry is not a competition.
- 19Be extra careful in cold and wet conditions which can lead to loss of feeling in the fingers and difficulty in operating the safety catch and the trigger.
- 20Members are not allowed to give their membership card on loan to friends.
- 21At no time are you permitted to shoot from a moving vehicle, you must park your vehicle must be in neutral.
- 22Do not drive on the fields / crops or damage them. Driving on the fields is only permitted once crops have been cut and the fields are stubble or if given permission to drive on tram lines.
- 23Please do not shoot near our neighbour’s houses, horse paddocks or within a 100metres of all solar farms.
- 24SWA Country sports have the right to alter these conditions as and when necessary.
You must always collect all your rubbish and cartridges and take them home with you.
Please do not litter our land!
All rights to shoot over our land will be revoked when you are no longer a member of S W A Fieldsport’s. SWA Country sports, nor the owners, nor the employees, nor the land holders will be held liable for any injury sustained and or loss of property however so caused.
Failure to adhere to these rules will result in your membership being revoked.
